Zuma-style games are very popular. And more and more developers create more and more games using similar gameplay. One of the latest games that combines the gameplay of Zuma with some new features is chameleon gems. It is a very addictive and not so easy game and must be played by everyone!
Most of you probably know the basic rules of the game, but if someone doesn’t, I’ll tell you. On the playing field, colored balls (called “gems” in this game) move from one point (called “hole” here) to another. Your main objective is to destroy all the colored balls by shooting balls of different colors at them and creating groups of three or more balls of the same color. And a number of different bonuses, such as fireballs or slowing down moving balls, are usually awarded during the game.
As I wrote earlier in Chameleon Gems, you need to destroy all the gems to prevent them from falling into the hole. The main creature in this game is Chameleon – you control it and shoot colored gems. You can get several different bonuses, the most interesting one is the Rock Gun (it’s interesting because none of the similar games have it). When you take it, you gain the ability to shoot small rocks at the gems and destroy them. The game is fully 3D and has an interesting feature: sometimes the gems move above other gems by two or three levels, and when you destroy the underlying gem, the upper gems fall down and you have to destroy them too. It gives the player more opportunities to destroy gems and create a chain reaction to destroy gems. You can even complete the level with only one gem shot, but you have to be very lucky! 😉
Another very cool feature of the game is the Store. When you destroy gems or finish the level you get scores and some money. You can spend this money in the Shop after finishing any level. Here you can buy different bonuses that will be working on the (next – ???) level for a certain period of time (for example, you can buy Fire Ball and on the next level you will get this bonus every 45 seconds). You can buy bonuses only for the next level and it will cost you less money. For much more money you can buy different Chameleons. Chameleons have different abilities; for example, the standard chameleon you start playing with is the blue-skinned chameleon and doesn’t have any special features. But you can buy Gold skin Chameleon and you will get 20% more money in one level. You can buy many different skins for Chameleon, but only one of them can be used for a level, and you can choose the skin for the level in the store. The store has many positions to spend your money, but to buy all of them you need to earn a lot of money! 😉
This game has at least 107 levels to play; can be seen on the very nice game map. The unique features of the game combined with good graphics and effects combined with proper sounds and music make this game the real gem of the latest game releases.
