With the rising popularity of the meditation and healing fields, many people are now exploring the option to become a mediation specialist or join a meditation specialist certification program. These programs help individuals obtain an education in this specialized field. To become a meditator, one must first complete a basic education program and then undergo rigorous training to become a qualified meditation specialist. To begin meditators should undergo a five-step process which will prepare them for the final practical examination. First, they will learn how to meditate using lectures and guided imagery. After this, individuals will have to take a final test which will cover subjects such as anatomy, physiology, ethics, medical terminology, law and ethics, psychology, sociology, philosophy, astronomy, math, chemistry and calculus. All of these topics are related to the specific subject area of meditation specialist certification. Once they have successfully passed the final examination, they will receive a certificate. This certificate will serve as proof that they are well-equipped and prepared to work in a health care setting, as well-qualified to teach meditation and as well-trained to conduct psychological assessments and treatments.

However, if an individual already works in a health care setting, they may not be qualified to administer meditation sessions or prescribe meditation to patients. In this case, he/she may want to become a certified mediation specialist or enroll in a well-rounded meditation training/certification program. Furthermore, National Guild of Nursing also offers a variety of approved courses which focus on health care as well-being for nurses’ professionals. There are also a number of online colleges and universities which offer various degree programs that include mindfulness meditation.
The above mentioned are just a few of the accredited programs available which teach the proper techniques of mindfulness meditation. In order to become certified through an American Nurses Association course or from any of the other organizations which offer these certified programs, an individual should be in general good health and in compliance with the laws of the state in which he/she intends to enroll. It is also recommended that a person should have at least three years of experience in a related discipline and should be in a position to demonstrate competence in the application of meditation techniques. It takes about thirty years for an individual to complete his/her RN training. There are about thirteen months of rehabilitation during which time one is able to complete his/her BSN.
