The Apple Ipod now has fierce competition from its Microsoft counterpart, the Zune.
Microsoft’s answer to portable media and entertainment, the Zune was designed for use with
an online music store like Itunes from Ipod. Zune, frankly, is the heavyweight underdog
in the ring with the undisputed champion, The Ipod. With an extended viewing area and Wi-Fi
Zune Access to Zune, the Zune is becoming the final favorite with the ability to

According to Microsoft, the Zune connects to its version of the iTunes store called
Zune Market. Microsoft has announced that it will buy songs from iPod users who
are changing in an effort to get them to turn the sides into this portable multimedia
war. The Zune Marketplace places a heavy emphasis on the indie rock band, as well as featuring
shades from local artists. The music provided for the Zune Marketplace is provided by large

advertising dollars to buy songs from iPod users, Apple had better not turn a blind eye to the
supremacy that Microsoft is trying to establish.

to your Xbox 360 could sweeten the deal. Allow users to download your songs
directly to your 360 is a pretty cool move on Microsoft’s part. You do not have to
create two separate playlists when Zune users can create them on their PC once and once
only. This can only complement your party tricks as you can use Xbox visualizations as
party in sight without having to set up your music on your Xbox again.
With the Zune player’s compatibility with its Xbox cousin, downloading and sharing
music throughout your home will be simply standard for any serious home entertainment
system.
The reality of the situation, however, will lead users to pay monthly for their Zune
Market subscription. Songs can be purchased individually or have an unlimited number
download option for a few extra bucks. With premium content and an emphasis on the local.
artists, finding what you want to hear will also be a hassle. On the side of the swing,
there are other distribution networks that only require a single fee for an unlimited number
discharge lifetime. These programs vary in price and quality, but still offer a
Gold standard compared to Zune’s default network. Having used the Microsoft store,
