Seychelles – The most beautiful islands in the world

Another World… The official motto of the Seychelles. This cannot be more true. Seychelles is truly an out of this world destination: an archipelago of approximately 115 islands scattered in the heart of the Indian Ocean. Magical, stunning, beautiful, breathtaking, surprising and spectacular are words that are not even strong enough to describe the Seychelles.

The Seychelles are known for some of the most exotic and rare plant and animal life, as well as its stunning palm-fringed beaches, crystal clear turquoise waters, and exotic marine life. The destination offers a variety of things to do, including a variety of water and land activities (including a visit to the Vallée de Mai, home of the legendary Coco-de-Mer) or why not spend a day in the smaller capital of the world: Victory. One of the most exciting experiences is island hopping between the islands. Each island has its own character and offers a completely different experience.

A wide range of accommodation is offered for those lucky enough to have the opportunity to visit the Seychelles. Exclusive 3* to 5* luxury hotels are offered.

Flights to and from the Seychelles take approximately 4 hours and currently depart twice a week from OR Tambo International Airport, on Fridays and Sundays. These flights are overnight and guests will arrive in the Seychelles the next day.

The Seychelles cannot be compared to any other destination! It’s so unique and such a great experience that it’s hard to put it into the right words: it’s something you have to experience for yourself. One thing is for sure, if you fancy a little romance, you can’t go wrong in the Seychelles. The magical atmosphere of the island is perfect to share with that special person.

The Seychelles climate is ideal for year-round travel, as the destination enjoys a tropical climate year-round and is located outside the hurricane belt and is therefore not prone to monsoon periods, although periods Specifics might be better for specific locations in Seychelles due to trade. winds during selected periods of the year and the best period for diving is between March-May and September-November.

Currently, South African passport holders do not require visas, vaccinations or malaria precautions to enter Seychelles, making it a very accessible destination to visit. Travelers must ensure that their passports are valid for at least 6 months from the date of return.

When we visit the Seychelles, we stay at the 5* Exclusive Sainte Anne Resort, a Beachcomber property. What an experience and what a resort! This resort is located on its own island, Sainte Anne Island, which is a huge plus for privacy and luxury. We did a bit of island hopping on Mahe, Praslin and La Digue and visited some of the most popular tourist attractions such as the Vallee de Mai on the island of Praslin, a visit to the capital of Victoria on the island of Mahe, we visited the stunning Anze Lazio beach on Praslin Island – one of the most spectacular beaches in the world, as well as the stunning beaches and rock formations of La Digue. We took a ferry to La Digue from the main island, Mahe, and from there to Praslin. After our adventure filled day we took a short 15 minute transfer flight back to Mahe which was beyond amazing because you get to see these stunning islands from the air too! What an experience, I have traveled extensively and can confidently say this is by far one of the most stunning destinations I have ever been to and if you are looking for the experience of a lifetime you cannot go wrong with the Seychelles!
